NY Farm Animal Save (NYFAS) is a group of volunteers whose mission is to promote the benefits of a vegan lifestyle. NYFAS seeks to educate the public on the virtues of veganism through bearing witness, community outreach and education where the main issues are human health, environmental well-being and the suffering of “food” animals.

NYFAS has been and will continue to concentrate its educational outreach activities in communities and neighborhoods lacking in healthy and nutritional food resources.

NYFAS is a sister organization of Toronto Pig Save. We are a group of conscientious volunteers who follow a Gandhian love-based approach and hold peaceful vigils to bear witness of animals on their way to slaughter. With our campaigns of information, we make the public aware of the conditions in which animals used for food are raised, transported, and slaughtered. Our goals are to put “glass walls” on: factory farms, live markets, and slaughterhouses in New York State, and contribute to the public debate about the place of animals in our society.

We are an inclusive group that welcomes vegans and non-vegans alike. We further educate people on: the benefits of a vegan lifestyle, the unique and distinctive personalities of farmed animals (like those we recognize in companion animals), and their inherent rights to their natural lives.

NY Farm Animal Save is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
